About Our Furniture
We craft our French country furniture from clear Canadian pine and solid blocks of
maple. You won't find veneers or wood by-products anywhere in our furniture. Not
even in the hidden backs of our drawers and cabinets. But you will find
tongue-in-groove joints and dovetailed drawers.
We hand finish surfaces in a natural stain. Next we apply two coats of polyurethane
and a heavy coat of wax. The result is a durable finish that resists watermarks and
that cleans easily with a damp cloth.
Other surfaces are finished in authentic milk paint in warm, antique colors.

We started Hanna Wingate in 1982 as a small antique store specializing in French
country antiques. Over time we received more and more requests for reproductions
that could withstand the punishment of modern life. So in 1997 we began our
partnership with a fine cabinetmaker and introduced our first collection of French
country reproductions.
From the beginning, we've been obsessed with quality. We craft every piece in our
collection from solid wood and hand finish it with natural stains and authentic milk
paints.
We're equally obsessed with customer service. Our clients include Hollywood
actors, TV talk show hosts, and even Grammy Award winners. But to us every
